  2. Click the Addons -> Fieldtypes tab
  3. Click the Better Pages link
  4. Select an upload directory
  5. Upload files from your local machine.

Selecting Templates for each Custom Field Group

  1. Assign a Better Pages fieldtype to your custom field group
  2. When creating the Better Pages fieldtype, simply check off any template you would like included.

Narrowing Input Fields By Template

  1. When adding the Better Pages fieldtype to your custom field group, simply mark which fields you would like to hide by selecting their checkbox.
  2. Choose between hiding fields entirely, or collapsing them by going to the main config page – Addons -> Fieldtypes -> Better Pages

Upgrading from 1.0 to 1.1

Please follow these steps when upgrading from 1.0 to 1.1. We have added new database tables to allow for the field narrowing functionality, and at this time EE does not have a method for us to automatically update the database without uninstalling.

  1. Replace the version 1.0 code with the 1.1 code (see Installation”:#installation)
  2. Click the Addons -> Fieldtypes tab
  3. Uninstall Better Pages
  4. Reinstall Better Pages
  5. You will need to reassign better pages to any field-group in which it was included.

Note: Because the data is actually stored in the Pages Module, none of your pages selections will be lost.
